Sharing ideas to help develop children’s skills through play.
Adapt the concept to suit children’s ages and stages – you might just chat, or you might estimate and then measure. It might be part of a family DIY activity or baking. The more familiar children are with number concepts and the idea of units of measurement in real-life situations, the more easily they will learn to apply these in more abstract academic contexts.
